The establishment of Valdarno di Sopra DOC and Consorzio di Tutela Valdarno di Sopra DOC was driven by a dedicated group of founding members determined to elevate and promote their wines through collaborative efforts. By coming together, they aimed to disseminate information about their wines and protect the unique qualities of the region. Thanks to the participation of renowned companies in the area and those committed to quality viticulture, the Ministry officially recognized the Valdarno di Sopra DOC designation of origin in 2011.

Valdarno di Sopra DOC is guided by two fundamental principles.
