The DOC Bolgheri, located in the Tuscany wine region, covers wines produced with grapes from Castagneto Carducci in the province of Livorno. In this region, the Consorzio di Tutela Bolgheri and Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC is responsible for maintaining the quality of the wines produced within the Bolgheri DOC.
In this region, the climate is temperate, with a minimum temperature of 9.6°C and a maximum of 19.4°C. In addition, the average rainfall is 584 mm.
We can find a predominance of sandy and sandy loam soil types in this region. In addition, in some areas, there are sandy-clay or clayey-loam soils.
