Terre del Colleoni DOC wines are produced in some municipalities within the province of Bergamo, in the Lombardy wine region. This region is bordered to the west by the island of Bergamasca, to the north by the Orobie Mountains and to the east by Lake Iseo and the Oglio River.

In this region, temperatures in the western area are cooler than those in the eastern area. Also, the region has an average of 1150 mm of rain per year.

In this region, two soils predominate: on the one hand, there are clay-slate soils on a mountainous area northwest of the city of Bergamo, while in the area that begins in the east-facing hills and ends at Lake Iseo, the soil is calcareous-clayey.
