The DOC Sambuca di Sicilia, located within the wine region of Sicily, covers the vineyards located in the municipality of Sambuca di Sicilia. 

In the region, the climate is Mediterranean, with an average annual rainfall of 700 mm. Rainfall is concentrated between autumn and winter, while during the rest of the year the climate is rather dry.

In this region, we can find a great diversity of soils,the most predominant being the regosols of clayey rock, the brown soils and the deep alluvial soils.
