The area has a moderate climate with 850 to 1000 mm of rainfall on average. The area features weather patterns resembling those of the pre-alpine and mountainous regions. As a result, summers are mild and winters are chilly.

Granitic sands, porphyries, and disintegrating calcareous-dolomitic formations are all found in the area's soils. The slopes with the steepest soils often have the best drainage. This kind of soil aids in avoiding waterlogging.
