The DOC Vigneti della Serenissima, that is part of the Veneto region, covers the hilly area between the provinces of Belluno, Treviso, Padua, Vicenza, and Verona. It is situated between the Alpine mountain range in the north and the Po valley in the south.

This area receives frequent rainfall, although it is mitigated by the mountain ranges to the north. This, together with the steep slope and granulometry of the terrain, helps prevent the vines from receiving too much water. In terms of temperatures, summers tend to be cool and winters cold, while daytime and nighttime temperatures contrast markedly.

Soils of volcanic or sedimentary origin predominate in the Vgneti della Serenissima wine region. The soils usually have decent drainage and are not very deep. They also contain many minerals, essential for the development of the vine and the production of quality wines.
