Valtiendas is a protected designation of origin, entitled to the appellation Vino de Calidad (Quality Wine), located in the Castilla y León wine region. It covers the wines made in the north of the province of Segovia, in the surroundings of the town of Valtiendas.

In this region, the climate is Mediterranean, and varies between temperate and cool. It has large thermal oscillations between day and night, and the altitude of the vineyards (between 750 and 900 meters) results in slower ripening grapes.

The prevalence of gravel and pebbles in the soil is a notable characteristic of this region. This feature not only promotes efficient drainage but also helps to regulate water evaporation. As a result, the vines are able to receive adequate water supply, ensuring their healthy growth and development.
