This region has a particularly markedly continental climate, with a good amount of sunlight throughout the year and little rainfall (between 300 and 450 mm). The average temperature of the region varies between 14°C and 15°C, reaching a maximum of 35°C during the summer. In winter, on the other hand, frosts are frequent.

The vineyards of this DO are located at an altitude of between 200 and 1100 meters, on calcareous soils with a thin layer of sand.
