The Bosco Eliceo DOC is located in the Emilia-Romagna wine region, and extends along the Adriatic Coast portion corresponding to the Ferrara province. It stretches from the south of Volano to Ravenna, always parallel to the sea.

It is one of the warmest wine regions of Emilia-Romagna, but the influence of the sea contributes to a good thermal amplitude between day and night. This helps the grapes to reach optimal levels of natural acidity.

In Bosco Eliceo, most of the soils are sandy, but there is one exception: in the Argenta region, there is a greater presence of silt and clay on the surface, while at 50 cm depth, the soils are sandy.
