The Garda Colli Mantovani DOC, nestled in the Lombardy region of Italy, produces two of the region's most common and beloved wines: Rosso and Bianco.

The Rosso wine is a harmonious blend of various red grape varieties, with a maximum composition of 85%. The prominent grapes include Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Merlot, and Rondinella, which combine to form a rich and full-bodied wine. The winemakers may also use other authorized red grape varieties to add complexity and unique characteristics to the final blend. The result is an enchanting Rosso wine with a deep ruby color and a bouquet of ripe fruits, subtle spices, and hints of herbs.

On the other hand, the Bianco wine boasts an elegant blend of white grape varieties, carefully crafted to create a balanced and delightful flavor profile. The primary grapes, Chardonnay and Trebbiano (di Soave, Giallo, and/or Toscano), form the foundation of this wine, comprising up to 60% of the blend. To further enhance the wine's nuances, up to 40% Garganega is added, contributing to its fresh and aromatic nature. Additionally, the winemakers have the freedom to incorporate up to 20% other authorized grape varieties, with a maximum of 5% being aromatic grapes. This composition leads to a Bianco wine with a pale straw color and a delicate bouquet of citrus, white flowers, and subtle mineral undertones.

Both the Rosso and Bianco wines from Garda Colli Mantovani DOC reflect the region's dedication to producing exceptional wines that capture the essence of its terroir. These wines are a true expression of the local grape varieties, carefully blended to create captivating and well-balanced flavors that delight wine enthusiasts around the world. Whether you choose the rich and complex Rosso or the elegant and aromatic Bianco, you can savor the true essence of Lombardy in every sip.
