Born from the collective vision and passion of the region's top wine protection consortia, the Unione dei Consorzi Vini DOC del Friuli Venezia Giulia, affectionately abbreviated as UNI.DOC FVG, stands as a testament to the unity and shared aspirations of Friuli Venezia Giulia's wine community.
The journey began in 2012, when esteemed consortia such as Friuli Annia, Friuli Aquileia, Friuli Colli Orientali, Ramandolo, Friuli Grave, Friuli Isonzo, and Friuli Latisana united under a shared banner. This unity was further solidified in 2020 with the inclusion of the Collio and Friuli Venezia Giulia Consortia, ensuring comprehensive representation from all the consortium regions. By 2022, this cohesive alliance evolved, adopting its present name, capturing the essence of unity and purpose that it represents.
With its two-fold mission, UNI.DOC FVG is:
At its core, the UNI.DOC FVG aspires to amplify Friuli Venezia Giulia's reputation as a bastion of quality wine production. Through its endeavors, it not only champions the wines but also tells the captivating story of the land and the people who transform grapes into liquid poetry.
